Quinta do Vallado, built in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous Quintas in the Douro Valley.
Fermentation in barrels of 500 liters of various French oak forests: Allier, Vosges and Nevers. 40% in new barrels, the remaining in 2nd year barrels.
It remained in barrel for a period of 7 months, periodically suffering batonnage.
