Old Vines Port Wine is by definition a generous and fullbodied wine produced in the Douro Region - the oldest Demarcated Wine Region in the world. Made from grapes traditionally used in the region, his vinification process is characterized by the addition of grape brandy to the must during fermentation. This magnificent Port is the result of the selection of the best grapes of the 1980 harvest. It ages in the traditional oak barrels in the silence of the cellars of the Real Companhia Velha.
Fermentation of Portos Colheita of the Real Companhia Velha takes place in a winery with the traditional grape tradding. The stage takes place in wooden containers (550l barrels and cask) for a minimum period of 7 years, until bottled.
